We don’t know for sure when the car will arrive, we are hopefull it will be in the next few days. We will post when we have definite plans.
*Safety Note*
We are all just as excited as you all are to finally see the Silver View. We would like you to enjoy its arrival at the depot SAFELY. A momentary loss of attention can lead to unfortunate consequences. Here are a few tips to keep us all safe.
First and foremost, please say back from any of the tracks, specifically mainline or any of the subsequent tracks to the south. The mainline through Oregon sees upwards of 25 trains a day. Trains are long and fast and cannot stop or even slow down if you are on the track.
Railroad work is inherently dangerous, Locomotives and cars are very heavy pieces of equipment. They have many blind spots for the crews working with them. They always need a large clear area around them to be safe.
We want children to enjoy the history and spectacle of railroads. Please keep your children by your side, under your supervision at all times.
Please don’t climb on the Silver View. There will be many times in the future when the car will be open for public viewing. The Silver View while be here for decades, there will be plenty of time to see it.
Please listen to Law Enforcement, Railroad Representatives and Depot Volunteers, we honestly want everyone to be safe.
