Ambitious & Generous Contributors to the Project

The people who have contributed to the restoration project comprise a group as diverse as the group that once passed through the depot to travel the far reaches of the country, and in some cases, the world. Some have contributed time and talents, while others have contributed money …but all have contributed heart.

Listed below are the names of individuals and groups that have been a part of this ongoing effort to restore and preserve this piece of Oregon’s history. Their generosities are recognized and sincerely appreciated.

Within the list, four different groups are identified: volunteers have contributed their time and talents, individual donors and organizational/business donors have made contributions of items, supplies, money or discounts, and benefactors have made financial contributions in amounts of $500 or more. Benefactors are currently further recognized by the display of their names on a sign located immediately in front of the restoration worksite, and will in the future be similarly recognized by a bronze plaque mounted inside the depot.

In 2007, a special effort to encourage donations in support of the Depot’s restoration was initiated. In return for their donation of $100, contributors would have their names and personal memories of the Depot documented within the walls of the Memorial Room being planned to honor those memories, particularly of those whose military service embarked from the Depot.
